Tamsara: When a Hostel-Room Cream Became a News Story
It started the way most real things do — small, and for someone we love.
Our founder, Anshul Singh, is a BAMS student in Bhopal. Somewhere between textbooks and clinical rounds, he began noticing something Ayurveda had been saying for centuries: skin problems rarely start on the skin. They start with imbalance in doshas— working outward.
So he made a cream. Not for a business. For his mother.
That small batch, mixed at home, became the seed of what we now call Tamsara — a name drawn from the Sanskrit tama (inertia, stagnation) and sara (essence, clarity). Together: the idea that real transformation is simply inertia becoming clarity. Parishkāra.
What began as one jar for one person has since grown into a small-batch Ayurvedic skincare studio — built, coded, and shipped by a student balancing lecture halls with late nights packing orders.
That journey just made it into print.
db News Network recently featured Anshul's story — from home to Bhopal, from a homemade cream to a name now reaching customers who believe, like we do, that skincare should work with the body, not just on top of it.

Tamsara was never just a brand name. It's an invitation — to slow down, to look at the root instead of the surface, and to trust that nature, given the right formulation, still knows how to heal.
This feature is one more step in that direction. There will be many more.
